Wanting for nothing

Updated August 1, 2024

While to some, little Trio is seen as a lamb missing a front leg, to us, she is not just deserving of a life truly worth living but of all the love and care we can provide. And that is exactly what we shall give this stoic little lass.

At just two days old, she fumbled her way into our world, our lamb clan and our hearts. Initially, she had some difficulty navigating the straw-filled stall, causing our hearts to race with concern—“Will she cope?” But Trio has not only mastered the straw; she is proving to be quite the master of her universe and even parkour!

Two things strike us as particularly delightful when watching the speckly-nosed Trio piloting her days: the way the other lambs have so readily accepted her for who she is, and the manner in which Trio lets nothing stand in the way of her happiness and joy.

We humans often tend to look down upon animals, beyond the literal sense. Yet, it is we who should be looking up to them—not only to ask forgiveness for the many trespasses we have visited upon them but to learn from their benign teachings.

Each day… we see lessons in empathy and support, humility and inclusivity, and most of all, peaceful coexistence.

Every day, as we watch our little lamb clan, often led by an ever-growing three-legged wonder, we see lessons in empathy and support, humility and inclusivity, and most of all, peaceful coexistence.

And all of this under our promise that they shall never want for anything.
