Through education, outreach, advocacy, community enrichment and sanctuary tours, we encourage people to expand their circle of compassion to include all animals.
Sanctuary tours
We offer regular guided tours during spring, summer and autumn. Groups of up to 25 people are taken on a heart-warming and informative tour around the sanctuary, led by a knowledgeable member of our team. Bookings are essential here.
Education
Edgar’s Mission offers on-site educational programs for schools and community group excursions, or can come to you for a fun, informative and thought-provoking presentation.
Our compassionate presenters are mindful never to tell people what to do or not do, rather we encourage people to think and develop their own values based on facts and personal priorities. No graphic images are included.
For more information, visit our education page.
Advocacy
Edgar’s Mission runs campaigns throughout the year advocating on behalf of farmed animals. We make submissions to government investigations and work in a number of other ways to speak up for farmed animals.
Outreach
Our greatest tool for creating a humane and just world rests with an informed public. We regularly conduct outreach work throughout the community, attending markets, fairs, expos and community events.
We seek to inform people on how their lifestyle and dietary choices impact animals and the world around them. We believe that through hearing the stories of our animal ambassadors, and by learning about the plight of farmed animals, people will be empowered to make more informed and compassionate choices.
