Introducing our turbo-charged little lamb, Nitro
On your marks! Hold onto your heartstrings everyone, Nitro has entered the barn. Yes, some lambs should come with a warning label, and the spunky little turbo-charged Nitro is one of them. Entering our fold at just three weeks of age, he has the heart of a lion.
Vroom, vroom!
Blind since birth, Nitro has honed his other senses to navigate his way in the world. And, truth be told, he’s done a damn fine job of it. After all, he has landed in the best place possible — our hearts.Â
From the moment we met the powerhouse who is Nitro, we knew he was extraordinary, not because of what we could see, but because of what he made us feel. In that moment, Nitro reminded us that life is not about what, or who, you see, but how you live.
Ta-da!
Nitro’s indomitable spirit brings to mind our much-loved Rammie Baa Baa, another ovine pal who was blind from birth. For, just like Rammie, whose blind eyes have never dimmed his love for life, Nitro seems to know the secret to happiness lies not in what one sees, but in how one experiences the world.
I can see clearly now.
Nitro invites us to see the world through the lens of another. It opens the door to new perspectives, reconnects us with forgotten emotions and deepens our compassion.
Ah, ha!
Such moments of clarity whisper to us that the way we treat animals is a true testament to who we are as human beings. Hanging out with Nitro, we are reminded that we have so many choices in this world. We can contribute to the suffering of animals, or we can choose kindness instead. His boundless charm and joie de vivre teach us why kindness is the better path.Â
Power on!
So, power on, little Nitro. Keep racing through life with your indomitable spirit, unwavering courage and dogged determination. You encourage us to see—not just with our eyes, but with our hearts.
