Woolly Forever Friends

When the Krol family’s original sheep flock eventually reduced to two, they were keen to find them some more woolly forever friends.

After contacting Edgar’s Mission, orphaned lambs Holly, Halloween and Dorothy Parker joined their family in December 2019. “We didn’t think our family was complete and had room for more, so we contacted Pam again and soon Genevieve, Storm Girl, Action Girl and Lucky Girl came to live with us as they had set up a little family unit at Edgar’s,” they shared.

Much to the surprise of all, a few months later they discovered a pure white little bundle laying on the ground next to Action Girl. They named the little lamb Keith.

“From that day on Action Girl became Mum and answers to that to this day,” they shared.

The Krol family has loved getting to know each member of their rescued flock.

They get their daily treats or hay and come running as soon as they hear you. They all have different personalities.

“They get their daily treats or hay and come running as soon as they hear you. They all have different personalities.  Dorothy is our mountain climber and will climb over the back of others to get to you. Halloween always hangs back and would prefer you just throw him his treats.  The rest will push each other out of the way to get attention. Young Keith is getting more interactive each day and along with his Mum and Dorothy have a habit of moving themselves from one paddock to another but come running back as soon as you call out ‘sheepies’ – the magic call word.”

Their doting humans now couldn’t imagine life without them.

“They are smarter than people give them credit for, are interactive and just put a smile on your face with their antics.”
