Give So They Can Live
Thank you for helping us raise over $100,000 for the animals!
Because of your kindness, we now have over half our annual food and bedding costs for the hundreds of formerly farmed animals who call our sanctuary home.
We promised that we’d dance the Nutbush if we reached our fundraising goal….so here it is!
Because this represents half of our annual food and bedding costs for the hundreds of formerly farmed animals who call our sanctuary home sweet and glorious home.
For almost 20 years, Edgar’s Mission has seen the transformative power of kindness in both animals and people. And the results are more than we could have ever dreamed.
Our Most Challenging Rescue Yet…
Earlier this year we learned of an abandoned sheep – the sole survivor of a flock of eight who had been roaming in the bush for years.
Carrying a whopping 26 kilos of wool, her days were numbered if we did not act fast.
18 kind staff and volunteers trekked for 5 hours on mountainous terrain in the bitter cold and rain to find her, and through teamwork and unwavering determination, the wooly mammoth was rescued and brought to sanctuary.
Now relieved of her heavy coat, Victoria’s stoicism has been rewarded with a life truly worth living – a promise we make to every animal who enters our sanctuary gates, no matter their age or ailments.
Giving Animals a Voice
In a country that has around 74.4 million sheep, why do we celebrate the survival of one?
The answer is simple: every life matters.
Through the picture-perfect storytelling powers of each individual we save, incredible transformative change has occurred beyond the animal themselves.
In the past year, our animal stories reached a staggering 542 million people on social media.
And it is through this that we give a voice to the millions upon millions of farmed animals who will never know kindness.
With every story told, like that of brave Victoria, hearts and minds across the globe are being transformed while we inch ever closer towards a kinder world for animals.
Give So They Can Live
This Giving Tuesday, November 29, we are asking you to please get behind our mission and help us raise $100,000 to keep our momentum going.
This represents half of our annual food and bedding costs for the many hundreds of formerly farmed animals who call our sanctuary home.
If you’re not in a position to donate, please know we understand. Even a simple share on social media will allow us to reach more kind hearts than we could ever do on our own.
The image of the jubilant – albeit drenched and exhausted – Edgar’s Mission kindness crusaders triumphantly descending the mountain with Victoria strapped to a stretcher will forever stand as one of our finest moments, and one we shall never forget.
With your help, we can continue to navigate mountains to help farmed animals in need. Thank ewe!
PS. Be sure to tune into our Facebook page on Giving Tuesday as we take you live behind the scenes to see all the ways your kind donations “give so they can live” lives truly worth living.
