Perfection in Simplicity
Whoever said it is the little things in life that count could well have been speaking about two almost identical twin lambs named Rollsy and Royce.
These cheeky little lambs always manage to stay just out of reach of our outstretched hands when it’s time for bed. As we bend down to grasp the tail-end of their little jackets, they scoot off in different directions before we can catch them. It’s as if they do not wish to surrender, not even for the night, the joy of living.
However, recently, when our luck was in, we finally caught up with Rollsy. Cradling her snugly in our arms, she looked into our eyes and softly went to sleep, reminding us of the delicate balance between play and trust.
This is just one of the many reasons why we count our blessings each day, along with our ever-growing brood of orphaned waifs. We shudder at the disturbing thought of what might have happened to them if predators or harsh elements had found them instead of kindness.
With the clang of glass baby bottles now the soundtrack of our days—and well into the nights—we treasure the perfection of baby lambs while yearning for a day when such sanctuary is no longer needed.
Seeing animals such as them as sentient and sensitive beings is a transformative experience, one that forever alters your perspective. Once you truly see them, you can never unsee their worth and individuality. This realisation prompts a reassessment of dietary and lifestyle choices, revealing that true perfection lies in the simplicity of kindness.
