Making Us Whole…
When little Naarm’s mum passed away, it left a hole in his world. A hole we knew we could never fill, but one perhaps our kindness could plug.
At first the pink-nosed little fellow was so nervous and frightened in our arms. But the sweet-tasting formula that came from the bottle we held told him we too were good.
And so, no longer daunted by the experience of our presence, little Naarm’s life is fortified by it as we have become his teacher.
And he has become ours.
We offer him life lessons as best we can; our soothing words and loving hands spread the breath of our kindness as we work to make his world whole.
And little Naarm, well, he teaches us that being kind to those most at our mercy, those we can so easily overpower, and those our society so often forgets is what makes us whole.
