Coming from every corner of the state, each lamb who arrives at sanctuary carries a tale. And while all their circumstances are different, thickly woven into their story of adversity is kindness.

Daewoo’s story though, just like her long limbs and her tail, stretches farther than most. She was not found on a catwalk, but a lonely stretch of country road several hours from here. In another lifetime, perhaps she would have been a super model.

However, her true superpower was not found in her legs or her tail, but in her vulnerability. A state that, judging by her weakened condition, was just about to claim her. Yet it was this fragility that touched the heart of a motorist passing by. Seeing the tiny lamb all alone a stranger became a guardian, and that vast stretch of bitumen became a path to salvation.
