A Story About a Sheep Called Finn

Handsome too, in that way sheep so often are when we take the time to really see them.

Born into an industry where things rarely end well for the animals on whose backs profits ride, Finn somehow fell outside of it. Gentle by nature, cheeky by spirit and with plenty to say, he is quite the talker.

Now at sanctuary, his safety is assured and he will get to do what so few of his kind ever do—grow old with grace, dignity and a friend.

For Finn, that friend is dear Harry.

Since losing his beloved mumma Alicia, next to Harry has been a space no one can fill. Finn cannot change that. But perhaps, with his soft bleats and steady presence, he can sit beside it.

And perhaps that is enough.

Because Finn’s story is more than his own. It reminds us that sheep are not things to be used, but lives to be honoured.

We have shaped their world for our benefit.
